NightWing returns to Titans Tower to assist Starfire and the team in a mission to track down Brother Blood and  H.I.V.E. The Teen Titans Damian Wayne (Robin), Beast Boy, Blue Beetle and Raven are still trying to get along with the newest member Terra. They uncover Brother Blood’s Plot to steal the powers of the team by means of a double agent under the order of none other than Slade.

There’s plenty of action and intrigue in this installment of Teen Titans.

This film is a retelling of a Teen Titans saga from back in 1984.  The team was much different. Instead of Blue Beetle and Damien Wayne the original team had Cyborg, WonderGirl, Jericho, and Changeling(Beast boy).  Nightwing, Starfire and the team were all relatively the same age. Due to the new 52 reinvention of the plotline,  members had to be changed. Cyborg had already been inducted to the Justice League and Wonder Girl has had a completely different origin story.

The writers were able to rework the story to match its source material. The results were a story worthy of the Warner animation label with great visuals and an excellent voice cast. Cristina Ricci (Sleepy Hollow, Speed Racer) plays the role of Terra and brings the angst and attitude to the rebel teen.

As well as the story was remade, Warner Animation should bring their next story straight from its source without updating the roster. Comic Book purists would have some serious beef with the way some of the storyline changes have impacted he outcome of such tragic hero stories like Terra. You really wouldn’t feel as bad in this storyline as you would have the comic and you don’t get a real sense of her backstory; why she was the rebellious angst filled teen.
