Ahhh that model life. To be bright and young. Beautiful. Sought after. Desired. Did you know that models apparently expire at age 24? Except Victoria Secret models. They don’t expire. However, when sixteen year old Jesse comes in with the air about her, time stops. When she enters a room, all eyes are on her. You can feel the envy and desire in the room.
Then there is Ruby, Gigi and Sarah. Ruby is a make up artist who can see the “thing” that Jesse has. You know what that is. The natural glow.
When Jesse beats out Gigi and Sarah for different gigs, revenge is the only thing that they can think of. Ruby on the other hand, rejected by the beauty, devises a plan to get back at Jesse.
Elle Fanning is Jesse. Young, beautiful, natural. Nothing fake. I’m not sure what happened to her parents, but she moves to Los Angeles to become a model. I love how Elle has come into her own in the last films. Her next few films look pretty promising!
Jenna Malone, I still love her. I just watched Pride and Prejudice where she played Lydia Bennett. Jenna’s character, Ruby, gets down. Oh, and is a bit dark.
Abbey Lee is Sarah. Now, Abbey is actually a model (She modeled in the Victoria Secret Fashion Show back in 2008 and 2009). You can see her in the upcoming Office Christmas Party! Okay, I just want to say, girl crush, but only because she is fierce as Sarah.
