My Top Five Memorable Moments At The Oscars.

Published

on

The Oscars delivered a lot of memorable moments this year. One of which came from Idina Menzel, the voice of Elsa in the U.S version of “FROZEN II”. She started the performance of the nominated original song ‘Into The Unkown‘ with AURORA. However, what made it truly special for me was that the vocal performers for Elsa from countries around the world.

Another special moment for me came from “This Is Us” star Chrissy Metz. Chrissy Metz and a live choir of diverse singers performed the Oscar-nominated original song ‘I’m Standing with You’ from BREAKTHROUGH. Chrissy also stars in the film as Joyce Smith, a faithful mother who prays for her 14-year-old son who drowns in a lake to come back from the brink of death. The fun fact here is at first is that initially, the production wanted someone else to sing the song do to the fact no one thought Chrissy could sing. Well, did she prove them wrong?

My number three moment came from Zack Gottsagen with Shia LaBeouf. As the Oscars strive to show more diversity, it can be easy for people sometimes to overlook the special needs community, in my opinion.  Zack made Oscar history as the first presenter with Down syndrome.

One of the most significant moments came when producers Kwak Sin Ae and Bong Joon Ho and the cast of “Parasite” won the Oscar for Best Picture for “Parasite” What makes this historic is that for the first time, a foreign film won the best picture in Oscars’ 92 year history, which is truly amazing in its self. Even the other celebrities in attendance knew the importance of this moment. So that when Oscar producers cut them off, the crowd started to yell for them to bring the mic back up.

And finally, It’s always hard when a movie bombs at the box office. What can you do? You never know what people are going to like, so the best thing you can do is laugh it off. And that is why Comedic actors James Corden and Rebel Wilson, both stars of the recent “Cats”, a significant disaster did. Coming out on the Oscars 2020 stage Dressed as cats to present …waite for it The award for achievement in Visual Effects. For those who might be like well, why is that so funny? Watch “Cats”, and you will understand.

The Disney+ Original series from Disney Branded Television and 20th Television will start filming its second season next week in Vancouver.

Season two of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is based on the second installment of Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series titled “The Sea of Monsters” by award-winning author Rick Riordan. Diemer recently starred in the Hulu limited series “Under the Bridge” based off the critically acclaimed book of the same name and a tragic true story of a missing teen girl in Vancouver in 1997.
