(San Diego, CA September 24,2014) Circles and Change Productions announces the production of the film “This Must Be Hell”. The film is about the true events surrounding the first school shooting in 1966 America. It will be an ensemble piece revolving around Charles Whitman, a former Marine and student of the University of Texas, who climbed the University Tower and started a shooting spree that shocked America. Told through his eyes and those of his family, police, and victims, this chilling portrayal is still in development and is written by writer/director Steve Sanders.
Steve Sanders is currently in development on another feature “Good Vibrations” starring 1980s dancer Boogaloo Shrimp from the Breakin’ franchise. (Good Vibrations is listed on imdb.)
The only portrayal of Charles Whitman to date was by a young Kurt Russell in the 1975 made-for-TV movie “The Deadly Tower”.
There is a screenplay for “This Must Be Hell” and the project is still in development seeking financing.
Steve Sanders is currently a member of SIP Creatives, producing “This Must Be Hell” under the banner Circles and Change Productions.
