Over the weekend Sir Sean Connery passed away peacefully in his sleep at age 90 in the Bahamas. With a career that spanned more than five decades, nearly all his roles were iconic. The Scottish actor, best known as the first James Bond, also had pivotal roles in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Highlander, Hunt for Red October, The Untouchables, and many more.
Connery held many jobs before becoming an actor including milkman, coffin polisher, and bodybuilder. At the age of 23, he was given the choice of becoming a professional footballer or an actor. We have all benefited from that choice. Over the years Connery has been polled as “The Greatest Living Scot” and “Scotland’s National Treasure.”
