It isn’t a party until the noodles arrive. The original Cup Noodles brand from Nissin Foods® will be in the spotlight at this year’s invite-only New York Comic Con Heroes After Dark party on October 6 at the Highline Ballroom. One of the hottest tickets in town, the annual Heroes After Dark pop culture celebration plays host to a wide variety of celebrities, influencers and industry insiders.

As presenting sponsor of Heroes After Dark, Nissin Cup Noodles will serve up gamers’ favorite snack as VIP partygoers kick off one of the mostly highly anticipated New York Comic Con events. At the Nissin Cup Noodles Bar, guests can take their party experience to the next level with hot cups of instant noodles customized with toppings including scallions, bacon bits, crispy onion strings and a selection of hot sauces. The evening will be hosted by NYCC fan favorite and Nissin Cup Noodles enthusiast Tyler Posey, best known for his role on MTV’s “Teen Wolf.”

No VIP ticket? No problem. This year, Nissin Cup Noodles is playing its role as a true “hero after dark” and making New York Comic Con dreams come true by giving 20 lucky fans access to the celebrity-packed Heroes After Dark party. In addition, those 20 guests will experience the even more exclusive Noods Before Dark pre-party event where they will have the chance to meet Posey before the Heroes After Dark red carpet and party open to attendees. They’ll slurp on noodles and pose for an action shot with Posey in a one-of-a-kind superhero photo opportunity.

“The highly anticipated Heroes After Dark party celebrates the best in pop culture, and I think it’s epic – and fitting – that Cup Noodles is going to be in the middle of the action,” said Posey. “Cup Noodles are often my go-to snack when I’m playing a video game or watching a movie at home, so I’m excited to work alongside such an iconic brand to help make this a night to remember for other fans, starting with the Noods Before Dark pre-party.”

“Our Cup Noodles fans are passionate about the shows, games and movies that come to New York Comic Con every year,” says Jaclyn Park, Cup Noodles Director of Marketing. “We’re so excited to help them experience the convention like never before – at a VIP party that brings together the best of gaming, entertainment and pop culture. Cup Noodles makes people smile, and we are partnering with New York Comic Con to put big smiles on 20 people’s faces with tickets to our Noods Before Dark pre-party with Tyler Posey followed by the exclusive Heroes After Dark event.”

The brand has become a true gamer go-to and is constantly innovating its products by listening to its consumers. Nissin recently launched two new innovations on the iconic Cup Noodles brand after 45 years in the U.S. Earlier this year, it launched Cup Noodles Very Veggie, the first instant noodle cup to feature one full serving of vegetables.[1] This follows the game-changing Nissin Cup Noodles recipe change last year that reduced sodium content, and removed both added MSG[2] and artificial flavors.

in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, Rick Riordan and Disney+ revealed that Daniel Diemer (“Under the Bridge”) will star as fan-favorite cyclops “Tyson” in the epic adventure series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” Diemer joins Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase) and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood) as a series regular. The Disney+ Original series from Disney Branded Television and 20th Television will start filming its second season next week in Vancouver.

Season two of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is based on the second installment of Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series titled “The Sea of Monsters” by award-winning author Rick Riordan. In the new season, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.

Diemer stars as Tyson – a young Cyclops who grew up all alone on the streets, and finds it difficult to survive in the human world.  Shy and awkward, with a heart almost as big as he is, Tyson soon discovers that Poseidon is his father, which means Percy Jackson is his half-brother… and that Tyson may have finally found a home.

Diemer recently starred in the Hulu limited series “Under the Bridge” based off the critically acclaimed book of the same name and a tragic true story of a missing teen girl in Vancouver in 1997. He will next star in the indie “Thug” opposite Liam Neeson and Ron Perlman for director Hans Petter Moland. Daniel was recently seen as the lead in the indie “Supercell” opposite Alec Baldwin and Skeet Ulrich and the lead in the film “Little Brother” opposite Phil Ettinger and JK Simmons. Daniel can also be seen in the Netflix series “The Midnight Club” and recently starred as the male lead in the breakout hit Netflix feature “The Half Of It” from producer Anthony Bregman and director Alice Wu. He is a graduate of Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts in Vancouver.

Created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, season two of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson.

The first season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is available on Disney+
