Movie
The Thunderbolts* is a standout entry in the MCU that proves you don’t need deep knowledge of the comics or prior films to enjoy a great story.
Whether you’re a longtime MCU fan or walking in fresh, this film welcomes everyone with compelling storytelling, strong performances, and emotional depth.
At the heart of the movie is a brilliantly written film, offering a refreshing shift in focus that feels earned and powerful. The film balances humor, heart, and heroism with finesse. Even if you’ve seen the trailers and think you have the plot figured out, the real surprise lies in the characters’ growth, the unexpected emotional beats, and those spontaneous moments of joy and sadness that make the experience so human.
As a longtime fan of Marvel comics and the MCU, The Thunderbolts feels like a turning point—proof that Marvel is choosing quality over quantity. Visually, it’s stunning, with action sequences that feel grounded yet spectacular. The adaptation of Sentry is particularly impressive, staying true to the spirit of the character while bringing something new to the screen.
If there’s any critique, it’s that Ghost could have been used more effectively; her potential felt slightly underexplored. But even with that, every other character is given meaningful time to shine. The Thunderbolts* is a thrilling, emotional, and beautifully told story that lingers long after the credits roll. I rate it a solid 9.8/10. Marvel may just be entering a new golden age.
