Long Beach Comic-Con Celebrates It’s 10th Anniversary!


Last weekend, geeks from all over SoCal gathered for the 10th annual Long Beach Comic-Con. While on a much smaller scale than San Diego, or even WonderCon, Long Beach Comic-Con has been a long-standing institution for comic book fans.

Major guests from the comic book industry this year included Christopher Priest, Jonathan Ames, Dan Didio, Kevin Eastman, Tony Fleecs, Jaime Hernandez, Yancey Labat, Mairghread Scott, Wesley St. Claire, Marv Wolfman, Gus Vasquez, Bernyce Tally, and Sarah Hines Stephens. Media guests included Rikki Simons, Marilyn Ghiglioti, Kristian Nairn, Rikishi, John Pirruccello, Kimmy Robertson, James Marshall, Chrysta Bell, Robert Broski, Christian Calloway, Sherilyn Fenn, Harry Goaz, Ray Wise, and Fred “The Hammer” Williamson.

The convention also boasted an impressive display of panels including DC Nation, A Twin Peaks Cast Reunion, Alterna Comics: Creating New Readers by Creating New Worlds, Expanding “Cosplay is Not Consent”, Valiant Comics 101 and Beyond, Cosplay 101, Game of Thrones’ Hodor, Kristian Nairn, Animated Geek, A Tribute to Steve Ditko, Black Panther’s Christopher Priest, Geekfest Presents: Women in Indie Horror, and The Impact of LGBTQ Creators and Readers in Comics.
