HBO Max Unveils Massive San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Lineup

HBO Max is making a major splash at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, bringing fans an action-packed lineup of immersive experiences, exclusive screenings, and can’t-miss Hall H panels centered around some of its biggest upcoming and returning series.

From stepping inside the multiverse of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, to earning a place among the Green Lantern Corps, and even getting an advance look at the next chapter of House of the Dragon, HBO Max is transforming San Diego into a playground for television fans.

Step Inside Stuart Fails to Save the Universe

Launching Thursday, July 23, fans can visit an immersive experience inspired by the highly anticipated Max Original comedy Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the upcoming spinoff set in the world of The Big Bang Theory.

Located at Sparks Gallery (530 Sixth Ave.), the activation recreates Stuart’s iconic “The Comic Center of Pasadena,” inviting guests to journey through a series of alternate realities that reflect the show’s multiversal premise.

Visitors begin by walking through a dimensional portal before making character-driven choices that determine their own superhero archetype. Along the way, they’ll encounter:

  • Interactive story moments
  • Immersive multiverse environments
  • Photo opportunities featuring a replica machine from the series
  • Exclusive merchandise
  • Personalized collectible keepsakes

The experience runs:

  • Thursday, July 23: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, July 24: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 25: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 26: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Hall H Welcomes Stuart’s Biggest Adventure Yet

The excitement continues on Thursday, July 23, when Hall H hosts the world premiere panel for Stuart Fails to Save the Universe from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Fans will enjoy an exclusive advance screening before hearing directly from the creative team behind the series.

The panel features creators:

  • Chuck Lorre
  • Zak Penn
  • Bill Prady

Joining them are cast members:

  • Kevin Sussman
  • Lauren Lapkus
  • John Ross Bowie
  • Brian Posehn

The discussion will be moderated by fan-favorite actress and geek culture icon Felicia Day.

Earlier that afternoon, the cast and creators will also appear for a signing at DC Booth #4544 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Train to Become a Green Lantern

Comic-Con attendees can also test their courage at the Lanterns Training Headquarters, an immersive activation celebrating HBO Max’s highly anticipated DC series Lanterns.

Running July 23–25 at Venue 808 (808 J Street), the experience transports visitors to Rushville, Nebraska, where recruits are evaluated to determine whether they have what it takes to join the legendary Green Lantern Corps.

Participants will complete a variety of interactive challenges, including:

  • Target practice
  • Trust exercises
  • Maze navigation
  • Escape room-style mystery scenarios
  • Investigations inside a sheriff’s office and local dive bar

Successful recruits will receive:

  • A custom Green Lantern ring
  • An interactive Snapchat-powered Green Lantern mirror experience
  • Access to exclusive Lanterns merchandise from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products

Reservations for the activation open Monday, July 13 at 9:00 a.m. PT on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests must be 18 years or older to participate.

HBO Max will also spread the Green Lantern spirit throughout the Gaslamp Quarter with surprise swag giveaways and Lantern Recharge Stations, allowing fans to cool off and recharge both their phones and themselves.

Hall H Goes Green

On Friday, July 24, Hall H becomes the home of the Green Lantern Corps.

Running from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Lanterns panel features stars:

  • Kyle Chandler (Hal Jordan)
  • Aaron Pierre (John Stewart)
  • Garret Dillahunt
  • Poorna Jagannathan

Joining them are visionary co-creators:

  • Chris Mundy
  • Damon Lindelof
  • Tom King

Attendees can expect an exclusive first look at the series, featuring never-before-seen footage, behind-the-scenes insights, and an inside look at one of DC’s most anticipated television projects.

Return to Westeros Before Anyone Else

Fans of House of the Dragon will have the rare opportunity to see what’s next in the battle for the Iron Throne before the episode officially airs.

On Saturday, July 25, HBO Max will host an advance screening of Season 3, Episode 6 in Room 6DE of the San Diego Convention Center from 10:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.

The screening will feature a special introduction by series co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal, giving fans an exclusive preview of one of the season’s biggest episodes.

HBO Max Levels Up Comic-Con
