The global games, toy, and entertainment company has announced a new multi-year licensing partnership with Nintendo to develop an all-new line of products based on the beloved The Legend of Zelda franchise. The collaboration is set to officially launch in 2027, with fans getting their first look at the upcoming collection during San Diego Comic-Con 2026, taking place July 23–26.

Making the announcement even more exciting, Hasbro confirmed that attendees will get an exclusive first reveal of three 6-inch scale action figures, offering collectors their first glimpse at what promises to be a premium new line inspired by Nintendo’s legendary fantasy series.

“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery,” said Billy Lagor, President of Toys and Board Games at Hasbro. “By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures.”

The announcement marks one of Hasbro’s most significant gaming partnerships in recent years and opens the door for an extensive lineup of collectibles and role-play products celebrating one of Nintendo’s most iconic franchises.

Since its U.S. debut in 1987, The Legend of Zelda has become one of the most influential video game series of all time. Known for its rich storytelling, memorable dungeons, and expansive world of Hyrule, the franchise follows the courageous hero Link as he battles the forces of evil alongside Princess Zelda, often facing the dark king Ganondorf in an ongoing struggle that has captivated generations of players.

With nearly four decades of adventures spanning numerous critically acclaimed titles, the franchise has earned a passionate global fanbase eager for high-quality collectibles worthy of its legendary status.

While Hasbro has not yet revealed which characters will make up the first wave of figures, fans can expect more details during San Diego Comic-Con, where the company will officially unveil the inaugural trio of 6-inch figures ahead of the product line’s 2027 launch.

For longtime Zelda enthusiasts and action figure collectors alike, this partnership represents the beginning of an exciting new chapter. As Hasbro brings its expertise in premium action figures and role-play experiences to Nintendo’s timeless fantasy universe, the adventure through Hyrule is about to extend far beyond the screen.

More information about the upcoming The Legend of Zelda toy line is expected to be announced during Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con presentations later this month.
