In front of a packed crowd of super fans, cosplay enthusiasts and celebrity judges on Saturday night, ReedPOP, the world’s leading producer of pop culture events, named the winner of the 2017 C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay, the final stop of the 2017 Global Championships of Cosplay competition circuit.  Okkido Cosplay from Hungary dressed as Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor wowed the audience and judges as she claimed the top prize. She had previously won the Vienna Comic Con.

Runner-ups Erika Jean Garbin (dressed as Astalos Female Gunner) and Brittani Ginoza (dressed as Blood Elf Priest), who was the C2E2 local champion, split $10,000 in cash and prizes with the winner. Thousands of C2E2 fans watched in person while others from around the world tuned in via the official C2E2 Livestream to cheer on their favorite cosplayers as they vied for the Crown. Competitors battled in front of celebrity judges – Ivy Doomkitty, Holly Conrad, Adam Middleton and Christian Beckman.

“The Crown Championships of Cosplay is the ultimate celebration and recognition of the growing cosplay community. It is absolutely astounding to see the creativity and skill on display at this event every year,” said Lance Fensterman, Global Head of ReedPOP. “This event is a culmination of a year of events produced across several ReedPOP shows and is really the best forum to showcase the amazing talent out there.”
