The loveable actor and special needs advocate John C. McGinley, has been cast as the lead in IFC’s new scripted comedy/horror series called Stan Against Evil. McGinley, best known for his role as Dr. Perry Cox in Scrubs, returns to digital television as Stan Miller; a tough curmudgeonly New England sheriff who loses his job over a temper issue. When his replacement played by Janet Varney realizes there is more than just crime in this small New Hampshire town, Stan begrudgingly teams up with her to take care of business.
“Dana has crafted the most deliciously combustible, subversive contrarian on television. And we are going to set it off!” said McGinley, who also will serve as a producer on the series.
