This weekend brought forth the second annual Comic-Con Revolution to beautiful Ontario, California. For only its second year, the convention hosted a very impressive list of guests including Kevin Conroy, Andrea Romano, Loren Lester, Diane Pershing, Ming Chen, Sam Jones, Susan Eisenberg, Greg Baldwin, Carla Perez, Ogie Banks, Jace Norman, Cooper Barnes, and Tommy Walker.
Comic-Con Revolution should also be noted for being first and foremost a comic book convention. At this day in age, many comic conventions are often overrun with media and celebrity guests. While this certainly does make for a good time, it is important to remember that comics are always meant to be the main focus.
They are the very reason these conventions exist in the first place, and Comic-Con Revolution did not shortchange the list of writers and artists at all. The overwhelming list of comic book writers and artists included Fabian Nicieza, Chris Claremont, Paul Jenkins, Drew Johnson, Ryan Kincaid, Cat Staggs, Jason Aaron, Stan Sakai, Aaron Sparrow, Peter Steigerwald, Brandon Easton, and so many other countless names.
Panels for the convention included “Batman: The Animated Series”, “Wonder Woman”, “How to Draw Deadpool”, “Getting into Comics”, “Voice Acting 101”, “Henry Danger”, “Things That Go Bump In Horror Comics”, “A Tribute to Len Wein”, and many more.
