Ramayana First Look Draws a Full House for Immersive 3D and 4DX Showcase in San Diego
Amid the excitement surrounding Ramayana in San Diego, a special theater presentation gave audiences an experience that went beyond a conventional trailer screening.
The event drew a full house, with attendees I spoke with traveling not only from San Diego but also from Los Angeles and Orange County – a firsthand indication of the enthusiasm surrounding the highly anticipated film.
Audiences experienced footage from Ramayana in 3D and 4DX, adding an immersive dimension to the first look. The 3D presentation brought added depth to the film’s expansive imagery, while the 4DX format incorporated physical effects synchronized with the action unfolding on screen.
The presentation was followed by a Q&A session, giving attendees an opportunity to hear more about the project and the vision behind bringing the epic to the big screen.
While much of the attention surrounding Ramayana during Comic-Con has naturally centered on its stars and larger promotional presence, this more intimate theater event offered another perspective: the enthusiasm of the audience and the kind of theatrical experience the filmmakers are aiming to create.
Being inside the packed theater made that excitement particularly noticeable. The audience reaction was not simply about seeing familiar stars; there was a palpable curiosity about how this deeply familiar story would be interpreted through contemporary filmmaking and immersive exhibition technology.
For Ramayana, the San Diego presentation offered more than a first look. It offered an early glimpse of how the film hopes to turn a trip to the theater into an event in itself.
