Netflix Orders New Series from Jim Parsons

Netflix just announced that it ordered a new eight part series called Special from the Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons. Based on Ryan O’Connell’s part-memoir, part-manifesto ‘I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves,’ the hilarious and heartwarming story centers on a gay man with mild cerebral palsy who decides to rewrite his identity as an accident victim and finally go after the life he wants.

Making the series extra special, if you’ll forgive the pun, O’Connell will play himself in the series that helped to both write and produce. Look for Special to premiere April 12 on Netflix.
