Paddington 2 Is A Delightful Family Adventure

Everyone’s favorite bear returns to the big screen in a delightful adventure that the whole family can enjoy! Based on the popular book series by Michael Bond, the film stars Ben Whishaw, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Imelda Staunton, and Michael Gambon all reprising their roles from the first film, with Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson as new faces joining the cast.

The film begins shortly after the first left off, with Paddington well adjusted into his new life living with the Browns in London. Wanting to buy an antique London-themed pop-up book for his Aunt Lucy’s birthday, Paddington gets a job as a window-washer.

His plan to purchase the book is foiled, however, when it is stolen in an attempt to find a lost treasure and Paddington is blamed. Its now up to the Brown family to help Paddington catch the culprit and clear his name.

Ben Whishaw gives an incredibly moving and emotionally delightful performance as the voice of Paddington Brown, as does Sally Hawkins as his adoptive human mother, Mary. Hawkins, who gave another terrific performance within the past year in The Shape of Water, doesn’t fail to deliver yet another beautiful, heartwarming turn as Mary. Another standout is Brendan Gleeson as the stern, but lovable prison chef, Knuckles.

The film is a delightful sequel that delivers just as much magic as the original. See it.
