I was FLOORED with this film. Jake Gyllenhaal is REMARKABLE as Lou Bloom. I mean, he was vicious, personality wise, but he will remind you of someone you know. Because we all know someone who is “all knowing” and self educated and is eager to share with someone who will listen.
Initially, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It started out a little slow, but it started to come up maybe 15 or 20 minutes.
You HAVE to see this. It’s not scary, just a little graphic, hence the R rating. Rene Russo, looks fabulous! She was an awesome champion for Lou.

This is an example of early bird gets the worm. You’ll get it when you watch it.
I had so many jaw dropping moments through out this movie. I was on the edge of my seat during some of the scenes, but I LOVED it! I think I whispered out loud “this guy is crazy”. I am honestly at a loss for words.
I had a little moment, since I used to live in LA. Memories…
