High Seas is an eight-episode mystery-drama series set in the 1940s in a luxury transatlantic ship. In order to recreate the ship, several sets with a surface of more than 2.700m2 have been built. The production team has done research on the time period for several months in order to portray this decade with the utmost realism.
Carlos Bodelón, art director of the series stated: “The set of High Seas is one of the most ambitious projects we have ever faced. The final result is impressive: we have been able to recreate the luxury and the glamour of a cruise ship from that decade. We have designed the furniture and added elements from the 1940s, including the navigation bridge mechanisms (helm, telegraph, etc), that are authentic”
The series will premiere globally in 2019. It is produced by Bambú Producciones, created by Ramón Campos and Gema R. Neira and directed by Carlos Sedes who is also the executive producer along with Teresa Fernández Valdés and Ramón Campos.
