Hosted virtually by Patton Oswalt, who also voices the main character, the show follows the day-to-day life of Marvel supervillain MODOK, already a unique choice, in a style very reminiscent of Robot Chicken.

The rest of the cast includes Ben Schwartz. Aimee Garcia and Melissa Fumero. Since Oswalt not only voices the main character but is the co-creator and writer this is most definitely a passion project for him. Oswalt laid it out right from the offset “He’s a super villain that not only hates all the other Marvel superheroes but hates the other super villains too and thinks he should be the A-list, top villain. I wouldn’t even say he’s D-level, he’s G or K whatever level at the bottom,” Oswalt explained in the panel.

Though the format sounds a little strange one shouldn’t judge too harsh too quick. A few years ago if you had told me that an R-rated cartoon about Harley Quinn would be the best thing on TV I wouldn’t have believe you. So I’m leaving my judgment at the door until I see more.

At least the show is in good hands. Oswalt and the rest of the cast know the source material and have a love of Marvel comics that really seems to come through in the panel.

MODOK will be airing on Hulu as part of a new Marvel package including Helestrom and others.
