One of the most acclaimed films on the festival circuit, ‘Road to the Well’ will make it’s San Diego Film Festival premiere on Thursday, September 29th, continuing to shine the spotlight on its breakthrough star, Laurence Fuller.
Premiering alongside films staring Hollywood favorites such as Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Rachel Weissz and JK Simmons, ‘Road to the Well’ already promises to be one of the most exciting films of the San Diego Film Festival and Fuller’s performance is already generating much interest throughout the industry. After the film’s international debut in June, Fuller received much critical acclaim, including:
His presence on screen has him regularly compared to many of his well-known Australian counterparts, such as Heath Ledger, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe. Though his controversial approach to acting has been compared to an Australian Deniro / Day-Lewis. But don’t let the Aussie in him fool you – in “Road To The Well” he carries a killer American accent the entire 1hr 47minutes he is on screen. The prestigious Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship finalist’s acting style has been described as “a film star in the making with a Game of Thrones Twist”, Fuller has a range and ability to emote that belies his years.
Fuller has achieved some indie fame, previously starring an Martinian in ‘Apostle Peter and the Last Supper’, as well as an appearance in “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ and a role in ‘America’s Most Wanted: America Strikes Back’.
