With a new year, brings a new character into the Dick Wolf highly acclamied series Chicago PD. On January 16th, our favorite actor, John C. McGinley will be taking on the role of Brian Kelton; a police superintendent with a love for the boys in blue. In the episode “Trust” McGinley begins in arc where he steps in as a candidate for the mayoral election.
“When a defense attorney is murdered after a fundraiser, Intelligence must confront the world of campaign finance, which makes them reconsider their decision to back the current pro-police mayoral candidate.”
With McGinley’s ability to turn from comedic to dramatic on the drop of a dime makes him a formidable character to go against Jason Beghe (Voight). The last time a smiliar chemistry was seen was with Jeffrey Donavan (Michael Westen) and McGinley playing his former mentor (Tom Card) in USA’s Burn Notice.
McGinley will be present for the entire season so be sure to tune in to NBC Wednesdays at 10pm E/P 9pm Central. Sparks are definitely going to fly in Chi-Town.
