Many celebrities die before their time but few pass away at age 20. That’s My Entertainment is saddened to report the passing of Disney television star Cameron Boyce who died in his sleep last night due to an ongoing medical condition.
Though he had been a part of the Disney Channel family since he was a young child Boyce was only just starting the second chapter of his career. Boyce first came to the public’s attention when he starred in Panic! At the Disco’s “That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)“, appearing as a kid version of the guitarist Ryan Ross.
Not long after he landed a role in both of Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups movies and his career took off. In April 2011, Boyce made a guest appearance on the Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie and later that month he was one of the featured dancers in a Royal Wedding tribute on ABC‘s Dancing with the Stars. In June 2011, he had a small role as one of Judy’s classmates in the family comedy film Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and in August, he was one of the featured dancers on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up.
Kids today know him best from The Descendants, the Disney Family Channel trilogy that follows the kids of classic Disney villains.
